Exclusive Benefits for customer members with CoPower Gas

All of the revenue we receive from selling gas goes to exclusive member discounts and grants to help our customer members reduce energy use, save money and reduce their emissions.

The future is electric, and CoPower Gas is a unique product which is supporting all of our customer members to collectively benefit from the energy transition.

We ran a democratic budget where customers members voted to prioritise how our gas revenue should be spent and over the 2025-26 financial year. We are proud to have $15,000 from gas sales all going to exclusive discounts and grants that customer members with CoPower gas can apply for.

 

This fund consists of the following:

5 x $750 Hot Water Systems Grants (one remaining):

This grant is for Earthworker Energy Manufacturing Cooperative hot water systems. Their systems are the best in high-performing CO2 heat pump technology, made locally in Morewell Victoria. Learn more and apply for the grant here.

8 x $470 Energy Saving Grants:

This grant could be used for investing in efficient electric appliances, improving insulation and draught proofing. Learn more and apply for the Energy Saving Grants here.

$7,500 fund for Renter Solidarity Grants:

This grant is available for renters for various energy saving home improvements including $270.50 discounts on thermal assessments, $470 Energy Saving Grants, and $750 Hot Water System Grants. If you are a CoPower Customer Members who is renting, please complete our CoPower Renters survey whereby together we will identify opportunities for renters to further their energy transition goals, provide information to other renting customer members to help inform what has worked and other quick wins they can achieve and more.

Each friend you refer, you will receive a $50 solidarity credit on your next bill.

Referring a friend is a great way to help your friend get access to fair energy, our exclusive member discounts as well as helping to grow our community.

Thanks to our growing customer member community, in the past two years we have run democratic budgets which funded Goulburn Community Solar Farm, Indigenous youth programs, a Women’s farming cooperative in the West Bank Palestine. Imagine how many more initiatives we could support if all our customer members referred a friend!

To refer a friend simply send your friend this link or ask them to switch to CoPower using the form on our website. While they are using the form to switch to CoPower, they will arrive at the “How did you hear about us?” field (seen below), ask them to select “Friend” and to enter your account number. This is the 7 digit “Customer Account Number” (starting with number 9) found on the top right of your energy bill
