Energy Saving Grants
October 10, 2025At Cooperative Power, we acknowledge the historical and ongoing injustice committed against the First Nations People of Australia. Aboriginal people today still experience the harmful impacts and experiences of colonisation. As we live and work on stolen Aboriginal Land, we believe that financially contributing towards righting this wrong is one practical step that we can take for Aboriginal and restorative justice.
This year we have contributed 1% of our annual revenue to Seed Indigenous Youth Climate Network for their Climate Justice Summits which include workshops on campaign skills, media, and grassroots organising, as well as cultural activities led by community leaders, panels yarns with First Nations activists, organisers and change-makers, action-planning sessions to shape the future of our movement and more.
As these summits had more applicants than Seed were expecting, every dollar raised has gone to help finance additional applicants where they otherwise wouldn’t be funded. We’re glad to have been able to contribute towards this movement and these incredible events.
You can read more about the events (the second of which will be running next week) on SEED’s website here.
