June 13, 2024Guidance for Member Benefit Fund
CoPower is opening proposals for its $21,000 Energy Efficiency member benefit fund. Over the next year these services will focus on supporting customer members to reduce energy use, make homes more comfortable, get off gas and save money. CoPower is partnering with the Earthworker’s Energy Cooperatives to deliver these services and customer members will vote to determine which member benefits will be funded. You can read more about Earthworker Smart Energy Cooperative by clicking here and Earthworker Energy Manufacturing Cooperative by clicking here.
This fund is designed to assist as many customer members as possible to reduce energy use and save money. (Whereas the Impact Campaign fund is focused on change making in communities and helping each other out). Customer members will vote to determine which member benefits get funded.
Here is a run-down of the process.
- Earthworker Energy Cooperatives (EEMC and ESEC) present member benefit proposals to expand our energy efficiency services.
- Wednesday 22 May: CoPower Energy Efficiency Action Group discusses proposals and considers identified opportunities for service improvements.
- The maximum proposal is $7,000.
- Saturday 29 June to Saturday 13 July: Customer members vote on which member benefits will be allocated funding in the second and final vote.
