Through our 2023 democratic budget customer members allocated $10,000 to a Hardship Fund to provide bill credits for those experiencing financial stress.
The scheme operates on a self-identifying principle where CoPower trusts any customer member needing support.
If you are experiencing hardship, you can access an on average one month electricity bill credit.
To do this please email [email protected] and include the following details:

Address:
Customer number:
Information on services available, including the CoPower / Energy Locals hardship scheme will be provided. And customer member will be invited to provide details of your experience of these services / schemes (including challenges experienced and opportunities for improvement).
Customer members can then request a second month’s bill credit which CoPower will consider based on further discussion around additional supports.
The above process is followed until the Fund is exhausted.
